Sharing platters & feasting
Sharing platter catering in King’s Lynn & Norfolk.
Family-style food brought to the table - sharing starters, charcuterie boards, roast platters and BBQ-style menus. From £64 per person, with service staff, linen, glassware and tableware.

Sharing platters are the warmest way to feed a room. Instead of plates arriving one by one, the food lands in the middle of the table and everyone leans in. Guests who have never met start passing bowls, the noise level lifts, and the meal stops feeling like a formality.
We are a family-run catering team based at South Wootton, just north of King’s Lynn, cooking for many Norfolk celebrations every year. We cater sharing platters and feasting menus across King’s Lynn, Downham Market, Swaffham, Hunstanton, Fakenham, Dersingham, Wisbech, Ely and the villages in between - in barns, marquees, halls, venues and private homes and gardens.
Menus are written for your day rather than picked off a list, and courses can be mixed with our plated menu however suits you. Ryan will talk it through with you personally.

Ways to serve it
Feasting, shaped around your day.
Family-style feasting
Generous boards down the middle of the table, passed hand to hand. The most sociable way we cater - the room relaxes within minutes.
Roast platters
Local joints slow-cooked and carved, with all the trimmings brought to the table. Alternatively, our hog roast starts from £36 per guest.
BBQ-style sharing
Grilled meats, fish and vegetables with bright salads - summer catering without the paper plates.
Mixed with plated courses
A plated starter and sharing mains, or the other way around. Nothing about the menu has to be one style throughout.

“On our tasting evening we fell in love with the pure passion for food that Ryan and Sophie shared with us.”
Sharing platter questions
The practical answers, plainly.
- How much do sharing platters cost per person?
- Sharing platters start from £64 per person for two courses with canapés, and from £71 per person for three courses with canapés. That includes service staff, a self-service tea and coffee station, linen, glassware and tableware. Minimum 60 guests - get in touch for more intimate occasions.
- Can we mix sharing platters with a plated menu?
- Yes. Plenty of couples have a plated starter and sharing mains, or sharing starters and a plated pudding. Courses can be mixed freely between the two menus, and the tasting works the same way as our plated menu.
- What goes on a sharing platter?
- Sharing starters, whole roast joints carved at the table, BBQ-style platters, seasonal salads and slaws, buttery new potatoes, warm breads and sharing puddings. Menus are written around the season and around what you actually want to eat.
- Do sharing platters suit weddings?
- They suit weddings beautifully. Family-style food gets guests talking across the table who would otherwise never speak, and the room warms up far faster than with a formal service. It works equally well for milestone birthdays, anniversaries and corporate dining.
- Do you cater vegetarian, vegan and gluten-free platters?
- Yes - vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free and other requirements are prepared with the same care as the main menu, never as an afterthought. Catering for specific dietary requirements and allergies may incur an additional cost because of the extra preparation time and specialist ingredients involved.
- How do you handle allergens?
- All buffets and platters are delivered with a full UK 14 allergen sheet. Our kitchen handles all allergens on a regular basis, so no menu can be guaranteed to be allergen free.
- Where do you cater sharing platters?
- We are a family-run team based at South Wootton, just north of King's Lynn, covering Norfolk, Cambridgeshire, Suffolk and Lincolnshire - including Downham Market, Swaffham, Hunstanton, Fakenham, Dersingham, Wisbech and Ely. Events more than 25 miles from PE30 may carry a small travel charge, discussed openly up front.
