Wedding bar hire

Wedding bar hire across Norfolk.

A dressed bar, trained staff and drinks that arrive at exactly the right moment - run by the same family team cooking your wedding food. Reception fizz, wine with the meal, toasts on cue and an evening bar that stays open to curfew.

Champagne flutes and bottled beers set out on a garden table at a Norfolk wedding

Most Norfolk wedding venues - barns, marquees, gardens, village halls - are dry hire. There is no bar in place, no licence and no glassware. That is where we come in: we build a bar in the corner of the room, stock it, staff it and clear it away at the end of the night, so nobody in your family spends the day pouring drinks.

Because we cater the food too, the drinks timings actually line up. The fizz is poured while the canapés are going round, the wine is on the table before the first course lands, the toast drinks are ready before the best man stands up, and the espresso martinis appear the moment the dancing starts.

We are a family-run catering company based at South Wootton, just north of King’s Lynn, and our bar travels across Norfolk and beyond - Norwich, King’s Lynn, Fakenham, Hunstanton, Downham Market, Swaffham, Wisbech, Ely and the villages in between.

The drinks journey

From arrival fizz to the last order.

Mix and match - most couples take all four.

  • Arrival drinks

Fizz, Pimm's, sloe gin Prosecco or a signature cocktail, trayed and poured as guests come out of the ceremony.

  • Wine with the wedding breakfast

Wine chosen to sit beside your menu and topped up through the meal by the same team serving the food.

  • Toasts for the speeches

Toast drinks poured on cue so every glass is full before the first speech begins.

  • Evening bar

Beer, cider, wine, spirits, a short cocktail list and proper low and no-alcohol options, open until your venue's curfew.

  • Cash bar or tab

A cash bar, a pre-paid tab, or a tab that switches to cash at a limit you set - whichever suits the day.

  • Everything behind the bar

Glassware, ice, garnishes, chilled storage, ice buckets, trained staff, public liability insurance and event licensing.

Costs

What wedding bar hire actually costs.

No rigid packages and no hidden extras - just a plain, itemised quote.

  • Evening bar service is generally free of charge when booked with a catering package
  • No set hire fee - your quote reflects guest numbers, hours of service and bar style
  • Cash bar, pre-paid tab, or a set drinks package priced per head
  • Bring your own fizz and wine for the reception and meal if you prefer - we chill, pour and clear it
  • Staff, glassware, ice, licensing and insurance are all itemised, never hidden in drink prices

Events more than 25 miles from PE30 may carry additional travel charges.

Questions

Wedding bar questions, answered plainly.

How much does wedding bar hire cost?
There is no set hire fee. What you pay depends on your guest numbers, how many hours you would like the bar open, and whether you want a cash bar, a pre-paid tab or a set drinks package. Evening bar service is generally free of charge when it is booked alongside one of our catering packages, so most couples find the bar costs far less than they expect. Send Ryan your date and numbers and he will write it out plainly, line by line.
Do we need a bar if our venue is dry hire?
Yes - most Norfolk barns, marquees and village halls are dry hire, meaning there is no bar in place and no drinks licence. We bring the bar, the glassware, the chilled storage, the trained staff and the licensing, so a bare corner of a barn becomes a proper working bar for the day.
Can we supply our own drinks?
Often, yes. Plenty of couples buy their own fizz and wine for the reception and the meal, and we pour, chill and clear it for you. For the evening bar it is usually simpler for us to stock and run it, so nobody in the family is left counting bottles.
Will the same team look after the food and the drinks?
Yes, and that is the point of booking both with us. One team means the fizz is poured while the canapes are going round, the wine is on the table before the first course lands, and the espresso martinis appear when the dancing starts - rather than two suppliers guessing at each other's timings.
What drinks do couples usually choose?
A typical Norfolk wedding runs arrival fizz or a signature cocktail, wine with the wedding breakfast, a poured toast drink for the speeches, then an evening bar with beer, cider, wine, spirits and a short cocktail list. We always include a proper low and no-alcohol option so nobody is stuck with lemonade.
How late can the bar stay open?
Usually until your venue's music curfew, which in most Norfolk barns is around midnight. We serve to the venue's licensed hours and clear the bar down afterwards, so there is nothing left for you or the family to tidy.
Do you travel to our venue?
We are based at South Wootton, just north of King's Lynn, and cover Norfolk, north Cambridgeshire, west Suffolk and south Lincolnshire. Events more than 25 miles from PE30 may carry a small travel charge, which is shown clearly on your quote.
